Josh Johnson is the founder and managing partner of J Johnson Law Firm PLLC, a personal injury law firm dedicated to helping injured individuals and families across the state of Florida.

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida. Josh comes from humble beginnings and understands firsthand the importance of hard work, resilience, and standing up for others. He attended Bethune-Cookman University, where he was a Division I baseball player and part of three MEAC championship teams, contributing to the program’s first NCAA regional win in school history.

After earning his undergraduate degree in business, Josh went on to attend Stetson University College of Law. During law school, he gained hands-on experience working at a personal injury firm, where he continued after graduation handling both personal injury and criminal defense matters.

 Josh founded J Johnson Law Firm PLLC with a mission to build a client-first practice focused on results, communication, and community presence. Today, his firm handles a wide range of personal injury cases, including car accidents, trucking accidents, and serious injury claims, while maintaining a reputation for personal attention and aggressive representation.

Josh is known for his “Let Us Go to Bat For You” approach—bringing the same competitiveness, preparation, and team mentality from his athletic background into every case he handles.

When he’s not in the office or advocating for his clients, you can likely find Josh out in the community—whether it’s at Treaty Park, getting a workout in at Chuze Fitness, or spending time with his family at a local farmers market. He and his wife, Kaylynn, a former Division I softball player, are proud parents who prioritize faith, family, and staying connected to the community they serve.
